Cyril Shokoples owns and operates Rescue Dynamics, an Alberta based guiding and instructional company serving the mountain community since 1983. Rescue Dynamics specializes in mountain leadership, mountain rescue and wilderness first aid training for amateur recreationalist and mountain professionals. Rescue Dynamics has been training the Canadian Forces Search and Rescue Technicians in mountain rescue for 30 years. Cyril Shokoples is an ACMG/IFMGA full mountain guide and CAA Avalanche Professional. He has been awarded distinguished service awards from both the ACC and the ACMG. He was inducted as an Honorary member of the ACC in 2013. In 2022 he was honoured as the Patron of the Mountain Guides Ball. Also in 2022 he was the keynote speaker at the Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine's annual medical conference.
