Good Ice and very little snow

Climbing Conditions

Jen and I climbed Nothing but the Breast yesterday. -17 at the car with a high of -11. The route is in stiff conditions with a thin and thoughtful top out. There is a new rap station directly above the route on the left. Thanks to whoever put that in! The sunny photo is the last pitch and the shady photo is the first pitch.

There has been little recent snow here lately with bare conditions below tree line. The alpine has had a couple good bakes with the recent inversions and with continued cool temps the avalanche hazard should be moderate or low until we see the next significant snowfall. Folks have been climbing Kittyhawk and Elliots Left hand gulley regularly and the rest of the corridor ice including the top rope haunts are in excellent shape.

Have fun and play safe!
