Early Season ice conditions on the DTC

David Thompson corridor

Climbing Conditions

Climbed Good Luck and Bad Dreams today. Wet ice but overall great conditions for Nov 10th! The David Thompson corridor routes are coming along nicely with most routes climbable save Nothing but the Breast. Mt. Elliot has about 30-40 cms of snow in the upper bowls so avalanche season is here as well. We had about 10 cms of new snow during the day with some moderate winds and mild temps (-2) so I suspect there is a bit of natural avalanche activity happening on routes like Kittyhawk and Elliots Left Hand. The photos are of Good Luck and Bad Dreams from today. Play safe out there!
