Climbing Conditions

Just down from climbing the President and Vice President in Yoho National Park yesterday.

We climbed the peaks from the Little Yoho Valley, photos will show glacier conditions. Firn line on the glacier is at about 2650m with easy travel on bare ice below and thin, weak snow bridges above. With caution on convexities and some probing with a ski pole, we navigated around most slots. The final bergschrund was carefully passed on the climber's left side. The rock ridges to both summits are currently free of snow.
