Avalanche Conditions

Witnessed a group ski down the steeper direct line off the west side of Perley Rock yesterday, and trigger a size 1 slab. It started on the crest of a very steep convex roll, was about 10-15cm deep, 10m wide and ran ~30m to lower angled terrain. No injuries. (Im assuming - they just skied off)
We followed their tracks down, and cut out most of the hangfire on our way down. Looks like it ran on a old melt-freeze crust, which is only barely there. (not present at all on upper, slightly less steep part of the same slope)
Just a good reminder that even though we have a "green brick" right now, you can still find some trouble if you know where to look.

cheers
Jason
