Yesterday Andrew Councell, Geoff Ossler and I enjoyed a beautiful day guiding a few folks up the NW Rodge of Sir Donald. Andrew Councell scouted out the descent for us down the West Face Bypass and kicked in some steps for us in the wet gravel (Thanks Andrew!). We all found it passable without axes or crampons with about 5 steps in snow, although boots were definitely preferable to approach shoes. It should be improving daily as the snow continues to melt on the easiest path.
I hope you’re enjoying the blue skies this summer!
