Thin Conditions on Twisted Sister

Twisted Sister ice climb

Climbing Conditions

Climbed most of Twisted Sister on Tuesday - while the bowl above didn’t appear to be loaded, the first pitch was very thin. We bypassed it via a shallow corner about 20m left of the climb, with several fixed pins and climbing we estimated around 5.7. The middle pitches were thin but still took screws, and while we didn’t climb the last pitch it appeared in good shape.

By the time we descended, high winds were causing a stiff wind slab to form in the alpine just below the climb... be careful up there, especially if it snows any more!
