Climbing Conditions

Two days ago, we climbed Mt. Tantalus in hot and dry conditions. We also replaced the rappel anchors all the way from the snow to the summit. New anchors doesn’t guarantee you safety in the alpine. There are still lots of loose rock.

Moats are still manageable on Mt.Tantalus and Mt. Dione. From Mt. Serratus ( ski line - the spine ), it’s easy to rappel to a glacier.
