Ski Conditions

Variable conditions in the Blackcomb backcountry today depending on aspect. Solar aspects have a melt/freeze cycle starting to settle in with pinwheeling and loose wet slides in the afternoon and due north aspects still have cold snow above 2000m. Surface hoar in the morning to 3mm. Moderate wind affect and soft slabs in isolated areas. Cornices are large and ready to drop. Good travel as ski penetration was only up to 10cm and glaciers have good coverage with a snowpack of over 3 metres deep.
