I just finished a fine week at Lake O'Hara and currently it is probably the best coverage I have seen in 20+ winters of skiing there mid winter. This combined with the little bit of alpine snow left over from the past summer means there could be some great spring skiing and early summer snow climbing opportunities at least along the Lake Louise/O'Hara Divide.
Even though Lefroy's West face has gotten rockier every year for a very long time this winter the snow has manged to stick to it and I think that could possibly be true for lots of other Rockies objectives.
A picture is worth a 1000 words they say. If conditions, weather, health, access, ethics and many other reasonable issues are favorable I hope this photo helps.
