On Sunday, hiked the traverse from Mt Jacques-Cartier to Gite du Mt Albert.

Wonderful alpine plateau and forested areas hike. About 25 km one way.

Conditions:

Early autumn significant snowfall made for adventurous travel.
Up to 4 cm on the ground in high alpine sections.
Lower down sections were wet and muddy.
Snow line was at 900 m.

Temperature was 2 degress in parking lot of Jacques-Cartier and ranging around -4 degrees at summit not considering wind chill factor.
Strong NW wind blowing falling snow made visibility difficult.

All in all, this is a good reminder that winter is getting here and that it is very important to plan accordingly for wet and cold conditions.
