Ski Conditions

Good skiing on Mt. Hector today.

Overnight recovery was good -1 at 730am.
With a dusting of new snow that helped the skinning.

Travel up the creek and creek gulley was in good condition both up and down.

Temps dropped to -10 up higher with 10-20cm of new snow. 300+cm on the glacier and still some open crevasses center and climbers right.

Some wind effect and soft slab observed not reactive to skier traffic.

The cornice on Little Hector has released sometime ago and taken the slope below with it but there is still a considerable chunk hanging.

No new Avalanches observed today.

Cold snow to 2500 a short section of corn and isothermal where not previously skier impacted below that.

Still winter up high. Happy Spring turns.
