Spent this past week on the Wapta.

The toe of the glacier is quickly becoming exposed with hot weather. We did see good freezes that held up well until late in the day.

The most significant event of the week was a rapid transformation of the creek the flows out from the Crowfoot side of the valley. On July 3rd it was in flood for a full day and scrapped away the sides of the creek. It was reported by a party that ended up returning to the Bow hut as not possible to cross even up higher were it is braided. It was dirty and boulders rumbled and shifted with the intense flow.

Yesterday it was high but easily crossed.
