On a short heli glacier hike with 4 clients. Just wanted to see HN of past few weeks. Total snow cover on ice amounts to 1m at 2242 m. 25cm of HST (from a few days ago) on top of 20 cm deposited about 2 weeks ago on top of older snow. FP about 30cm.
Snowpack was fairly moist below the top few cm, so this bottom layer should bond quite well for whatever is to come next.
Crevasses are very open on all the surrounding glaciers, access to ridge lines barely possible due to huge Bergschrunds everywhere.
