Climbing Conditions

Attached are photos of some peaks in the Lake Louise and Moraine Lake area taken on July 4th, 2025.

The scramble route up the South Ridge of Mt Temple still has several steep snow slopes to cross/climb in the lower half of the route, and the trail in the upper section has shallow snow, but the route is drying out quickly.

Still some snow patches on the North Face routes on Mt Temple, but they are also coming into shape quickly.

The trail from Moraine Lake over Sentinel Pass into Paradise Valley is snow-free.

The regular descent gully from the Tower of Babel is snow-free.

The Perren Route to the Neil Colgan hut is more or less snow-free to the glacier, while the Sheisser Ledges route to the hut still has some snow patches.

Enjoy the summer climbing!
