Avalanche Conditions

Reactive storm slabs in immediate lee features.

We had some easily predictable ski cuts to size one on small immediate lee features (both storm slabs and sloughs). New snow and continued strong S-SW winds built storm slabs and cornices at ridge top, which were reactive to skier traffic.

The Feb 2 crust is down 105 -120 feature dependent. The recent storm snow was settling and appeared to be bonding well to the Feb 27 interface in sheltered areas.

Visibility was poor so we didn’t have any alpine observations today. Great ski quality, but we opted for conservative terrain and tree skiing.
