Climbing Conditions

Up in Ranger creek this morning on “Lone ranger”. The usual routes are there (R and D, Chalice) but they are still
pretty thin in many places, pretty wet and require some thoughtful screw placement and selection. Not a lot of snow over head currently but that is forecast to change overnight and into next week.
This zone seems to have an avalanche involvement every few years due to easy access, early season ice and strong regional winds loading the overhead terrain. While often good to go in the early season, after recent snowfall and winds it’s a good place to give a miss..
