I just returned from a 4 day trip in the Bugaboos. July 10th evening we had rain in the afternoon and evening. July 11th and July 12th were quite smokey but by the 13th the air was clear again. There is still quite a bit of snow around Applebee which limits available dry tent sites. The decent gully from Crescent tower is still holding snow which makes for an easy quick descent from the Crescent Towers. The Bugaboo/Snowpatch col is in good shape with the bergshrund just starting to show signs of opening. All rock routes throughout the range are reported to be dry and free of snow. The mosquitos are fierce at certain times of day and vary in intensity depending on the time of day and elevation. They seem perhaps to be a little less intense than reported a week ago.
