Climbing Conditions

The hot, humid days of summer are behind us! This last week has been refreshingly crisp and cool - sending temps here in the Gunks. There have been a few rain showers off and on leaving a few wet puddles on some of the shadier, juggy holds but for the most part the cliff has been drying out very nicely. The light breeze has been helping this.

Keep an eye out for snakes, particularly copper heads, that may be sunning themselves midday. They are exactly the same color as the recently fallen leaves. But they are shy and avoid confrontation.

If you're new to the area the "Gunks App" is a very helpful guidebook and navigation tool.
