Climbing Conditions

Had a flight today from Canmore to Yoho Park and back, so used the opportunity for some photos of the mountain conditions:

In general, conditions looked great for mountaineering with a lot of dry walking to be had, but still quite a few patches of snow to make the travel easier as long as the snow is frozen. Above 3000m conditions remain quite snowy still, and there was evidence of loose, wet avalanches running down steep snow slopes in the past 24-hours. The big faces like Mt. Temple are still quite snow covered and need some more melting before coming into shape.
