Climbing Conditions

Approached and climbed Mt Assiniboine from the east Aug 10-12 with a team of 4.
The Gmoser highway is still holding a couple of large patches of snow that you can work around without crampons but an axe may be useful.

The NE ridge is snow free and with mild overnight temperatures and no moisture we did not carry crampons or axes for summit day.

If approaching from the west via Assiniboine Creek you may want crampons for the glacier as the firn line is high and looks icy.
