Ski Conditions

Ski Conditions

Today we skied Narao Shoulder from the Lake O'Hara parking lot. The snowpack is only 50-80cm deep, but it skied surprisingly well in the open trees and glades on Narao Shoulder. There are lots of shrubs sticking out above the snow and numerous early season hazards like creeks and fallen trees.

We toured up to about 2200m with mostly cloudy and obscured sky. No whumpfing and no avalanche activity observed.

A 4x4 vehicle was required to access and exit the Lake O'Hara parking lot today, it had not been plowed recently.
