My guest and I enjoyed dry conditions on the approach and climb on The Mountaineers Route today. There is still lots of snow in the NW descent gullies and I wouldn’t recommend it at this time. It was punchy, and mid thigh deep in spots. There is still enough snow to avalanche on the next big warm up - maybe July at this rate ;)
FYI there is no parking at the the fireside gate and Parks is recommending people park at the train station in Banff to access the 1A from the south. Add at least one hour onto your day if your biking to the Muleshoe trailhead.
Cory crack was still quite snowy, and will need more time to dry out. Routes on Guides Rock looked dry from the road.
