For anyone attempting Mt Sir Donald and considering the West-face Bypass for descending, there are numerous snow/ice patches that climbers need to cross to get back to the NW Ridge rappels. If you decide to take this descent, boots, an ice axe, and crampons are necessary until the ice has melted off.
