Mostly Good Trail Conditions

Trail Conditions

I just spend four days from Nov 4-7 with a group of students from Cegep de la Gaspesie on the Appalachian trail around Mont Nicole Albert. We had a major weather system move through with 10-15cm of snow followed by heavy rain. This lead to flooding and rivers over flowing making most river crossings impossible. As of Nov 7 the water levels had gone down again but are still higher than normal. Temperatures were around the freezing level and there was a trace of snow on the ground in some places. The trails are in mostly good condition for the season with some icy and some muddy sections and creek crossings that are more challenging than normal.
