Climbing Conditions

I guided an ascent of Mt Assiniboine's N Ridge on August 26th. For the most part the mountain is in dry summer condition, however we had the slightest trace of freezing rain in the early morning before our ascent which left some verglace and frost on the upper mountain. We managed without the need for crampons or ice axe, but that may change quickly this time of year.
