Ski Conditions

We made a brief jaunt onto the Lyell Icefield yesterday through Crampon Col.

320cm probes did not reach the ice and coverage overall looked good. NE winds were cranking in the afternoon moving snow around, but wind slabs remained stubborn in the cold temps (frost nip in April!). 10 to 20cm recent HST overlies crusts on the solars which remains the main avalanche concern.
