Avalanche Conditions

I am posting a couple of photos of an avalanche seen today. I believe this may be the same slide reported yesterday by an avalanche forecaster as Mt Grainger, in the Chehalis mountains West of Harrison Lake. It started in the alpine and ran into a below tree-line basin.

These photos were taken by a pilot flying from Stave Lake NE towards the Nahatlatch area. He apparently, saw a number of big avalanches deposits from the past few days. The attached photo was one of the recent large size 3-4 avalanches that released on an early winter layer.

In addition to the avalanches, the pilot also reported visible rain tunnels up to 6000ft.
