Climbing Conditions

We spent September 23-25 at Lake O'Hara. The snowline sits at around 2200m, but in the past couple of days it may have melted back. We hiked in the Oesa Lake, Opabin Lake and McArthur Lake areas, and we climbed Mount Shaffer on Saturday September 24th. We found up to 20cm of snow on Mount Shaffer that made for good steps, and we didn't use crampons. The larches are in fine form!
