For the two of you that are still hunting ⛷…

The mons hut provided some great corn skiing over the past few days, with good overnight freeze and recovery above 2300m. Snow started to fall at the hut as we flew out.

The face on the summit pitch of Forbes has shedded and no longer looks skiable, but a route could be made up and down the west shoulder.

Natural avalanche activity was limited to steep south-west aspects, with a remarkable amount of terrain on the icefield remaining smooth and planar.

Crevasses are just starting to show the first signs of sagging bridges, but it’s still a very fat snowpack up there.
