Climbing Conditions

We climbed Joy on Monday June 18. The corner was still seeping in a few spots making for some wet handholds but the foot placements were mostly dry. The wettest areas were avoidable by climbing the slab beside the corner.

Looking at the peaks along the divide it seemed to be snowier in this zone than in the Lake Louise area. There is plenty of winter snow right down to treeline. The Royal Group also looked snowy.
