Today I climbed the ice adjacent climbers right to the Tourist Wall (rock climbing area), which I don't think has a name. The ice was fairly hard and a bit brittle from the recent temperature decrease, but in fairly good conditions by Revelstoke standards (aerated but often taking 16cm screws). As of yesterday, there is a new bolted anchor at the top on the climbers left 60m up next to the tat on the tree (thanks Cam!)
We encountered small windslabs up to 40cm deep on the approach, but the gully above the climb appeared to have avalanched recently.
Other climbs nearby:
Gap Falls - Looking pretty fat (photo of party on it today attached)
Turkey Chute - Dry as a dead dingo's donger
Eagle Bluffs - Thin but has been climbed recently
Dump Falls - no ice
Don't Fear the Pillar - not touching down
Blackfoot - In and has been climbed recently
Pillar of Doom - In but apparently it's sporty with poor gear
Tum Tum Massacre - Looks in
Enjoy the cold snap!
