Golden-Dogtooth Range

Trail Conditions

The TAP hiking guide exam travelled in the Dogtooth range Sept. 14-17th starting from 12 Mile creek and coming out to Dam Creek road.
The route travelled between 1400m to 2500m elevation, water sources were plentiful as were sign of bear and goats.
Established trails were in good condition, off trail travel was quite pleasant and old logging roads were very overgrown above 1700m elev.

Weather was excellent with daytime highs up to 20deg and overnight lows to +5 with very heavy dew in the mornings.

Of note: there is active hauling on the Dam creek road and the logging roads were extremely dusty. 12 Mile FSR was in decent condition.
