Went for an awesome powder tour around Hanging Lake. 5-10cms of low density overnight snow was present, and above 1000m conditions were soft on all aspects. Ski pen of 20-30cms and minimal wind effect in all elevations travelled, as well as not much traffic meant some excellent skiing was to be found. Some surface sluffing occurred from ski traffic; old wind slabs at the exposed upper elevations of the tour (1800m) were unreactive. Ski quality and coverage deteriorated rather quickly below 1050m, with numerous open creeks and dust on crust.
