Climbing Conditions

A update now that we got some visibility. A few pics from today taken on a glacier travel course on Athabasca’s North Glacier.

15 cm of recent storm snow atop a firm surface. Good snow travel on the moraines and glaciers until we stepped off snow at about 1 PM. I probed 175cm of snow at 2700 m.

All the classic snow and ice routes look like they have good coverage. There is a track up and down the ramp on Athabasca, someone climbed it during yesterday’s storm.
