Flight over Tantalus Traverse

Climbing Conditions

Tantalus Provincial Park, flight from June 24, 2026

BC Parks reinstalled the green throne outhouse yesterday (1218m on moraine feature between Ossa camp and Pelion approach). And they shared photos of their flight over Tantalus Traverse. “Some cornices linger on high elevation ridge tops but it’s definitely looking more like an early summer snowpack. Crevasses are beginning to get some sags too and there’s a few cracks starting to open up, but overall the glaciers looked pretty filled in.” - BC Park Ranger
