Ski Conditions

Low snowpack and cold temps means facetting. From the road at 810m to about 1200m expect shallow snow, facetted surface to ground, lots of obstructions and alder. Once above 1200m travel and track setting becomes easier with better coverage.
A profile at 1700m had a height of snow of 130cm with nothing really significant appearing in tests. Pretty foggy until the ridgetop but didn’t notice any recent avalanche activity during brief clearings. In the alpine quite a bit of wind affect, but overall pretty good ski quality.
Good fast skiing down to 1200m. Then fun “bush skiing” back to the road.
