Avalanche Control using explosives deployed by helicopter is planned for Mt Whymper and Vermillion Peak on Saturday December 27, 2025. Both the Mt Whymper and Vermillion Peak Intermitent Avalanche Closure Zones will be closed.
Please: no skiing, climbing, or backcountry travel in these areas for the day.

Note: Highway 93 south will be closed for approximately 1hr starting at 14:00.
