Elbow Valley - Rainy East Summit Ridge To Powderface Ridge

Trail Conditions

Start at Rainy Summit pullout and head to old logging directly to East. Trail has a bunch of logs laying at trail entrance. From here follow logging road as it winds its was to top of old cut block. From there orange flagging tape leads you up the east ridge. You will come to a rocky spur that you ascend. Half way up there is a ground wasp nest. Go around to avoid. Trail switchbacks to summit where you get amazing views and descend to West to join Powderface trail for descent. Best done with a vehicle at each end.
