Climbing Conditions

Approached Mt Assiniboine on Wednesday July 27th via the Gmoser highway. There were still some steep snow slopes present near the start of the traverse which made travel slightly more involved. Ice axes were used on the way up and both axes and crampons were used on the way down. Once through the snow, the path was straightforward to the Hind Hut.

We climbed Assiniboine via the North Ridge the following day and found excellent, dry conditions on the route. We did not carry axes or crampons for the ascent.

Cheers,
Andrew
