Equipment left on Mt. Temple north face

North Face of Mt. Temple - Greenwood/Jones

Climbing Conditions

Last Sunday (Aug 24), Parks Canada and Alpine Helicopters did a last light rescue off the Greenwood/Jones route on the North Face of Mt. Temple. This was a technical rescue, and we were under pressure to get off the mountain before dark.

Accordingly, we left a mess of ropes and slings all over one spot on the route.

Anyone going through here will find 100 m of static rope, 60 m of climbing rope, slings, carabiners and anchor bolts.

If anyone passing through here could take a few minutes to coil up the ropes and leave them in a tidy spot hanging from an anchor, that would be much appreciated. We are unlikely to return here to recover this equipment, so feel free to take any of it with you if you want.

Thanks, and sorry for the mess.
