Climbing Conditions

Over the past three days conditions have changed a lot in the DTC. There was enough snow in the last 7 days to push the bowls above ELH and KH above thresh hold. I hiked into KH on Dec 7 and turned back after observing evidence of natural dry, with entrained wet, loose avalanches and evidence that the storm cycle has not settled down. We received 10-15 cm more that night. Winter has arrived. I climbed NBTB on Dec 7 in fine early season shape. GLBD will not likely form this year.

Note: Isaac’s is closed for the season due to construction.
