Went for a quick hike this morning up the Southwest Ridge of Gunnery peak. We opted to do a point to point so we left a bike at the gunnery Creek Trail end. Easy routefinding as you gain the summit. We descended to notch and hand railed Ridge heading North to the Gunnery pass. Game trail a bit thready but easy to figure out where you go when you landmark the pass. Continue to back of bowl and find horse trail paralleling Gunnery Creek. Easy walking on way out. Stay out of creek to avoid getting stuck on big rocks
