Ski Conditions

About 30 cm new snow in the last 24 hours overtop of facets made it feel even deeper. We stuck to the trees as it was snowing 2 cm + per hour and the wind was blowing. Great skiing above 11-1200m. Still rugged and lots of alder below. Of note were storm slabs failing on facets as we skied steep open terrain and running fast and surprisingly far. The presence of numerous terrain traps, gulleys alder, trees etc made that a real concern. The Pass Lake FSR beyond 30 km is getting snowed in rapidly. Not much traffic beyond there, and no forest operations over the holiday may make access even more dicey over the next few days. 4WD vehicle a necessity today.
