Climbing Conditions

Hi MCR Subscribers

I climbed Brewers Buttress today. Like most of the routes we have climbed recently in the Rockies, there is dirt/dry mud on most hand holds from the June rains. This makes the scrambling terrain somewhat challenging.

There is a little bit of water flowing in the gully below the hut. It won’t be there long.

The traverse is in reasonable shape. It is less washed out than the descent.

Route is in great condition.

**Descent gully is quite rugged. The June rains have washed out most of the trail and left pressed mud. Recommend mountain boots and maybe an adze to scuff in the steps.
