Climbing Conditions

Bootpack trails are in to both Curtain Call and Ice Nine. Stas Beskin led us through a two foot clean roof on the second pitch of CC, with chandeliers for 7 meters off the belay on the first pitch off the ledge ten meters up on the left. Shells were needed as it is streaming water.

The day before we climbed the first pitch of Ice Nine in very easy condition, but bailed when unfortunately the sun came out, and spent the afternoon cragging on Slaughterhouse, which had a number of large blocks come off it.

Nemesis on January 27th appeared to have very little avalanche hazard with easy travel on a supportive crust past a heavily traveled snowshoe track to the last slope.
