Starting Monday, December 6, hazard tree removal crews and equipment will be working in the area around the Rogers Pass Discovery Centre in Glacier National Park.
At least four days (Dec 6-9) of temporary closures are anticipated for:
📍 Connaught Creek winter access
📍 Sections of the surrounding parking areas
Why, you ask❓ A spruce beetle outbreak in Glacier National Park over the last six years has left thousands of trees dead or dying in the Rogers Pass corridor. The number of trees affected and location of the outbreak presents a risk to public safety that must be addressed.
Thanks for your understanding and patience.
