Climbing Conditions

1. Tszil’s N face has active rockfall hazard, not sliding out of the gully but actually over the nose of rock at the top of coulior. You can stay left in the coulior and exit at the L trending gully midway up to stay protected and keep it safe.

2+3. Stonecrop face on Slalok is in good shape.

4. Looks like the NW face of Matier went to basal ice again this year as a slab avalanche, not recently but sometime in the last few weeks, the cornice above it has gone but still wouldn’t be stoked to be up there for a while yet...

5. Joffre S face and Matier Glacier, well filled in

6. Access to Matier Glacier from upper Joffre Lake
