Ski Conditions

Red Mtn Cabin area December 3-5.
Cold as -21 warm as -15. Light to no winds thankfully.
Alpine and treeline snow heavily wind affected from previous N-NE winds all aspects.
Below treeline ok skiing on facets in places the wind couldn’t reach. Pretty rough skiing below 1400m due to low snowpack.
Height of snow at cabin, (1500 m), is 110 cm in sheltered areas.
5mm surface hoar over 40 cm of fist hard snow, (rapidly facetting), over 10 cm 1 finger +, over 20 cm fist hard facets, over 1 finger + to the ground.
Snowpack tests produced nothing in the profile.
No recent avalanches observed. Already some pretty big glide cracks on steep SW aspect alpine slopes.
