Over the past two weeks I spent 6 days on Castle Mountain, spending time on Lookout Buttress, Bastion, Brewers Buttress & Eisenhower Tower.

Currently no snow travel needed on any of the lower tier routes we climbed, with good base travel and climbing conditions, with normal loose rock from the winter season present. The approach gully from the Fire Lookout is in good shape with no lingering snow present.

The upper tier of Castle is generally dry with minimal seepage on regular climbing lines & only small easily bypassed sections of snow on the Goat Plateau.

Epic Gully still has a good amount of snow present and some active rockfall during rain events & daytime warming.

The descent gully from the Summit Plateau to Goat Plateau has lots of snow currently & similar rockfall issues during daytime warming & rain events.

Lots of water is available at the creek present at the top of the approach gully & looks like water will persist for the next few weeks.
